
Today: Blustery winds are in store for Friday morning as a low pressure system moves its way out of the area, hitting an average speed over 25 mph with gusts maxing out around 40 mph. Temperatures also plummet into the single digits in the morning, maxing out around 17 degrees around 5 P.M. Skies remain overcast for the whole day, with the exception of a patch or two of blue sky earlier in the morning and at night. Winds die down considerably after noon to a moderate 10 mph with occasional gusts around 20 mph.
Tonight: Friday night stays mostly cloudy, with only a patch or two of clear sky expected throughout the night. Winds shift to out of the south and pick up speed again, with an average wind speed of 15 mph and gusts that hit 30 mph at their strongest. Temperatures stay similar to their daytime high, but actually increase as the night goes on till it reaches a nighttime high of 27 degrees.

Tomorrow: After a minor snow shower around 8 A.M., temperatures heat up again on Saturday, warming up past the freezing point and reaching a high of 34 degrees in areas, especially along the lakeshore. Winds shift to out of the west at a quick 15 mph, along with gusts that max out around 25 mph. Skies are predominantly clear tomorrow, heating up the ground even more and making for a beautiful start to the weekend. Saturday night continues to stay clear, and cools off into the low teens. Winds pick up considerably again, hitting an average speed of 25 mph.
Sunday, December 21st – Tuesday, December 23rd: Clear skies are in store for Sunday, owing to a high pressure system directly over top of southern Wisconsin. Temperatures remain cold in the mid teens but winds die down considerably, barely topping 5 mph for a majority of the day. Monday starts off with some light snowfall that’ll stick around due to temperatures never topping 30 degrees. After the light snow, clouds remain over the skies for the whole day and into the night. Tuesday is a similar story, with temperatures maxing out in the mid 30s coupled with mostly cloudy skies throughout the day and into the night.
