
Overview: Average spring temperatures are in store on Friday and Saturday, with Saturday featuring a chance for morning sprinkles. On Mother’s day, sunny skies will return which will last through Monday. Tuesday looks to be a rain out with a band of showers and embedded thunderstorms moving through the area before ending late evening.
Today: Warming temperature and sunny skies are in store for Friday. Wisconsin will be in between weather makers with low pressure systems to our south and west. With this lull in place, Friday morning will start out overcast with temperatures warming through the 50’s and light southwest winds 8 mph. By the afternoon clouds will break and mostly sunny skies will take over as temperatures reach the lower 60s for a high with winds staying consistent. Wind gusts through the afternoon and evening will be on the blustery side with speeds between 22 mph from the southwest.
Overnight: Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s with winds staying out of the southwest between 8 mph, but gusts will slow to 18 mph. A low pressure system accompanied with a cold front will begin to approach Wisconsin and arrive by Saturday morning.
Tomorrow: Saturday morning a weak cold front will slide through the Milwaukee area. Rain chances from this front will be minimal with only a 10% chance before 4 p.m. and accumulations will be less than a tenth of an inch. With occasional rain showers in the morning temperatures will rise through the 50s with winds turning to northwest at 12 mph. Clouds break by mid day with sun filtering through as temperatures reach the lower 60s with winds staying consistent. By the evening and into the overnight hours skies become mainly clear with temperatures tumbling down into the low 40s with winds turning to the north around 5 mph as a high pressure system begins to move in the direction of Wisconsin.
Extended: Mothers day is Sunday which will be another traditional weather day as a slow moving high pressure system drops out of the northwest. Sunny skies will be the theme through the early afternoon as temperatures reach the upper 50s with a north wind around 8 mph. By the evening and into the overnight skies will remain clear with temperatures slipping down to the 40℉ mark with light winds.

Monday’s weather will be similar to Sunday, but with more sunshine which is made possible by a weak high pressure system that will drop out of the northwest. Temperatures will reach the middle 50s for the day with winds out of the east-northeast around 8 mph. By the evening and in the overnight hours stronger weather maker will begin to approach Wisconsin because of this temperatures will stick around 40℉ for an overnight low as winds shift to the south with speeds staying consistent.
Tuesday will be a rainy and overcast day. A low pressure system will pass to the south, however with Milwaukee being on the northern end of this system a low pressure trough will swing through the area. A band of showers and thunderstorms will arrive by the mid morning and last into the evening. It won’t rain the entire time, but there is an 80% chance that all of Milwaukee will see rain. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s for a high with blustery south winds around 14 mph. By the late evening and into the overnight all shower chances will come to an end. Winds will swing around to the west-northwest and slow to around 12 mph as temperatures settle in the lower 40s with overcast conditions.
