UWM Post will host local politically active individuals and candidates for a Get Out the Vote event with students
MILWAUKEE- UWM Post is inviting local candidates, politically active individuals and anyone interested in student voter information awareness to come speak at Get Out The Vote: Student Voters Resource Fair. It will happen on Wednesday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spaights Plaza on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s campus.
Interested speakers who would like to participate in this community conversation happening during the event should reach out with their availability during 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on 10/28. Any speakers will be scheduled to talk during this one-hour time slot.
This is intended to be a non-partisan conversation with topics including general voter awareness, issues impacting college students and the importance of voting. The conversation will be moderated/hosted by student journalists from the UWM Post.
Other UW-Milwaukee student organizations, resources and voting partners will be active during the fair. As well as activities for students and general social gathering.
UWM Post is developing a physical media literature piece on student voter information to hand out at the event if you are interested in being featured in some way.
