Milwaukee has long been known for its beer culture. Beginning in the 1850s, brewers like Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz and Miller put Milwaukee on the map as a brewing capital rivaling Munich and Prague. That culture remains strong today, and if you consider yourself a beer connoisseur or just love supporting local microbreweries, the Brew City Beer Pass is designed for you.

Participating in the Beer Pass is free, and participants receive a buy one, get one beer upon their first visit to nearly every brewery. With more than 20 participating breweries, a Beer Pass holder could receive around two dozen free beers.

Plus, participants earn more free prizes based on the number of breweries they visit. After visiting five breweries, they earn a can koozie; after visiting ten, they earn a t-shirt; and after visiting every brewery, Milwaukee Brew Pass automatically enters them into the Ultimate Brew City Beer Pass Prize Pack, which has not yet been announced. Participants have until April 30, 2022 to use the Beer Pass.

It is easy to join:

First, get the FREE Beer Pass at Visit Milwaukee’s website. Sign up takes approximately one minute.

Second, confirm the entry by text.

Finally, visit participating breweries and redeem the Beer Pass.

The following breweries honor the Beer Pass: 1840 Brewing Company, Black Husky Brewing, Broken Bat Brewing Company, City Lights Brewing Company, Component Brewing Company, Dead Bird Brewing Company, Foxtown Brewing, Gathering Place Brewing Company, Good City Brewing, Indeed Brewing Company, Lakefront Brewery, Layman Brewing, Milwaukee (MKE) Brewing Company, MobCraft Beer Brewing and Taproom, New Barons Brewing Cooperative, Sprecher Brewing, The Bavarian Bierhaus, The Explorium Brewpub (Greendale), The Explorium Brewpub (Third Ward), The Fermentorium Barrel House, The Fermentorium Brewery and Tasting Room, Third Space Brewing, Urban Harvest Brewing Company, and Wizard Works Brewing Company.

Many have said “there is no such thing as a free lunch,” but apparently, there is such a thing as a free beer, and there are few college students who would not enjoy a free beer. With the Brew City Beer Pass, you can have your beer and get discounts too!
