The city will soon explode in celebration of Independence Day as Milwaukee fireworks light up the night sky. Here’s a list of places in the area you can attend Fourth of July firework displays and information about local festivities and events.

Cedarburg Fourth of July Parade and Hometown Celebration

Where: Cedar Creek Park

When: July 4 at dusk

Cedarburg will kick off Independence Day with a 10 a.m. parade on Washington Avenue followed by an all-day picnic in Cedar Creek Park with a performance by the Madison Scouts. Click here for more information.

Franklin Civic Celebration

Where: Lions Legend Park

When: July 4 and July 6 at 9:30 p.m.

Franklin will celebrate Independence Day from July 3 through July 6 with carnival rides, live music, parades, helicopter rides and more. For more information about the four days of entertainment, click here.

Menomonee Falls Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

Where: Menomonee Falls High School

When: July 3 at dusk

The parade will begin on July 3 at 7 p.m. on Appleton Avenue and Elm Lane and will continue to Woosencraft Drive, ending on Titan Drive. For more information on the parade and the fireworks, click here.

Milwaukee lakefront

Where: Veterans Park

When: July 3 at 9:30 p.m.

Prior to the fireworks, the Gift of Wings kite shop will host a kite festival in Veterans Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees can either bring their own kite or purchase one there. Beginning at dusk, a 45-minute fireworks display sponsored by American Family Insurance, T&M Partners, Milwaukee Brewers, Christian Yelich and Milwaukee County Parks will kick off. New Berlin Fourth of July Festival

Where: Malone Park

When: July 4 at 10 p.m.

A carnival will be set up with rides like The Gee Wizz, The Zipper, Tilt-A-Whirl and more, along with games and food starting July 2. On July 4, a children’s parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The main parade will start at 1 p.m. See more information here.

Oak Creek Fourth of July Celebration

Where: Lake Vista Park

When: July 4 at dusk

A 9 a.m. parade will begin near Edgewood Elementary School and end at American Legion Post 434. Food, music, face painting and more will keep the celebration going, including The Mayor’s Bike, Wagon and Stroller Decorating Contest, hosted by Oak Creek Mayor Dan Bukiewicz. Shorewood Independence Day Celebration

Where: Atwater Park

When: July 4 at 9 p.m.

A parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Oakland Avenue, followed by a Shorewood Concert Band performance at Atwater Park. At 7:30 p.m., Noyz Boys and Girlz will perform before the fireworks. The fireworks are scheduled to last for 30 minutes. See more information here.

Wauwatosa

Where: Hart Park

When: July 4 at 9:15 p.m.

Wauwatosa will start its Fourth of July festivities with a parade on North Avenue at 9 a.m. Inflatable rides, music and food will be available from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with fireworks to follow. Visit their webpage for more information.

West Allis Grandstand Show and Fireworks

Where: State Fair Park Grandstands

When: July 4 at 9:20 p.m.

Country band Gabriel’s Crossing will perform at 8:30 p.m. at the Grandstands and the fireworks will be displayed after. For more information, click here.

Whitefish Bay

Where: Klode Park

When: July 4 at 9:30 p.m.

The 43rd annual Whitefish Bay Fourth of July Parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Kent Avenue and Silver Spring Drive and will head to Lake Drive and end at Klode Park. In the park, there will be a flag raising at 1 p.m. and food, games and music until the fireworks. Click here for more information.
