The Walt Disney Company’s Disney+ will be launched on Nov. 12.
The company first announced its debut of its first streaming service at the biennial D23 Conference in August. It will allow subscribers to watch hundreds of new and old Disney favorites, as well as content created specifically for Disney+.
On Oct. 14, Disney+ announced on Twitter a comprehensive list of all of the content that will be available. Titles in the Twitter thread include, Hercules, Snow White, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians and more movies that have not been out of the vault in years. From Disney Channel, favorites such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana and The Cheetah Girls were also listed in the thread.The Marvel Universe will have Iron Man, Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy, among others included with the subscription. Star Wars, Disney’s Pixar and National Geographic also have many titles that will be available.
Beyond the existing movies and television shows that will be included on the Disney streaming service, there will be several “Exclusive Disney+ Originals” that will be available only for Disney+ subscribers. Titles announced on the Disney+ website include High School Musical: The Series, Encore!, Marvel’s Loki, The Imagineering Story and Disney’s Lady and the Tramp, a live-action remake of the fan-favorite.
A subscription for the Disney streaming service costs either $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year, and fans can sign-up before the launch date to ensure access to all of the content starting on the release date this November.
