The Milwaukee Bucks achieved their 60th win on Sunday night against the Atlanta Hawks, 115-107.

Sunday’s 60-game victory was a unique achievement for the Bucks. It was the first time the Bucks have won 60 games since the 1980-81 season. Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer achieved the same feat while coaching the Atlanta Hawks during the 2014-2015 season.

“It was great for them to close it,” said Budenholzer. ”Khris has a knack for hitting those big shots and it’s great of Giannis to see a three go down to kind of finish the night. Those two guys are special. It makes a big difference.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points and Khris Middleton added 21 points. A pair of 10 points came for Sterling Brown and D.J. Wilson.

It was a block party for Brook Lopez in the opening minutes. Lopez achieved four blocks – his total on the night – in the first quarter alone. The intensity of Lopez exposed the missing presence of Atlanta Hawks big John Collins, who along with Trae Young, was out due to load management.

With Atlanta’s two stars out and working with a limited number of players, the Bucks took advantage and got their job done.

The Bucks have been dealing with their own set of load management and injury lists. Antetokounmpo missed the game against the Nets prior to Sunday’s game against the Hawks due to soreness in his left calf.

The Bucks had a nine point lead by halftime. The Hawks pulled within three points with help from DeAndre Bembry, who finished with 13 points on Sunday.

Alex Len finished with 33 points for the Hawks.

Consecutive threes from Middleton and one from Antetokounmpo put the Bucks ahead 110-98 and forged the win.

The Bucks play their final regular season game against the Oklahoma City Thunder before heading into the playoffs.
