Overview: Severe weather dominates Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast April 14, 2026, as low-pressure systems clash with Wisconsin’s spring. Stay prepared!

Today: Milwaukee starts the day in a fog, exiting last night’s storm which brought 50-mph gusts and tornado warnings to the Southeastern Wisconsin. As rain departs, temperatures begin spiking near 70, while heavy fog remains over the lake. Southwestern winds of 9 mph snake through the streets until breezes off the lake force in some fog around 2 p.m. Stay alert with decreasing visibility! Temperatures touch 74 momentarily before dropping into the 60s with the lake’s wind. As this happens, thunder clouds develop in eastern Wisconsin to arrive in Milwaukee by 3 p.m. Into the evening, these create excessive downpours with high winds up to 40 mph. With the storms, the Storm Prediction Center noted tornado, hail, and wind risks for Southeastern Wisconsin last night in their outlooks. This prompts a warning about severe thunderstorms with possibly damaging hail, gusts past 50 mph, and the potential for tornadoes. Please refer to this page for severe weather preparedness by NOAA to be prepared in the upcoming spring. Otherwise, thunderstorms exit around 10 p.m.

Tonight: Winds and rain temporarily pause for the night as temperatures drop to 46. With such a drop in temperatures and moist air, heavy fog blankets the area into the early morning. Thunderstorms begin again in the morning of Wednesday with gusty winds up to 40 mph and possible hail.

Tomorrow: Despite the cool temperatures, morning thunderstorms allow Milwaukee to rise to 66 degrees between clouds. Wednesday repeats Tuesday with winds off the lake dropping temperatures while thunderstorms gather again. Hail and winds batter Milwaukee from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Specifics will be pinpointed in the next forecast. Wednesday night bids goodbye to severe weather for a little bit as low pressures finally move away. Temperatures fall to 48 degrees.

Thursday: A milder day greets us Thursday with 60-degree temperatures and a low of 44. Clouds dissipate over the day while winds calm to an average 5 mph. This reprieve is brought to us by a weak high-pressure system moving over Lake Superior, pushing down cooler temperatures and softening winds. This does send winds off the lake, however, sending us back into a fog for Friday morning.

Extended: Friday sees clouds, wind, and temperatures all increase. Due to a low-pressure system entering from the west, winds blow harder and harder throughout the day into Saturday. They eventually reach 40-mph gusts and beyond, backed by sustained winds of 22 mph. Temperatures launch back up Friday but decrease all day Saturday. Along with the low pressure comes another round of severe weather. Saturday night finds calmer winds though with breaking clouds, only to reach a nightly low of 36 degrees. As always, but especially this week, stay up to date with your forecasts!
