Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast for August 10 kicks off with a humid, rainy Sunday. Isolated showers move through in the early morning followed by only chance drizzles until the evening. On the bright side, thanks to the cold front yesterday, temperatures drop from the oppressive 90s into the more bearable 80s. Sunday sees a temperate mid-70s morning followed by steady warming, peaking in the low 80s by 3 p.m. In addition to pacified temperatures, winds relax to an average 9 mph, only reaching a sustained 11 mph at 3 p.m., with sizable gusts of 27 mph only expected with the presence of the rain. Expect storm possibilities to increase as the day comes to a close. Models predict a speedier storm life cycle for the evening thunderstorm. It enters drizzling around 7 p.m., intensifies with a clap of thunder at 8 p.m., and settles down as the night begins.

Tonight: Milwaukee county sees scattered drops of rain clearing before midnight setting up a silent night otherwise. Winds continue to ease, averaging 7 mph, and temperatures continue to drop through the 70s into the upper 60s.

Monday & Tuesday: As the work week starts, the sunrise beams through the clouds, clearing some possible fog for morning commuters. One thing sunshine will not dissipate is the returning smoke, so stay alert for air quality updates. Temperatures appear to mirror Sunday with a larger dose of sun, thus raising the high to 84. This will feel much warmer due to the unrelenting humidity from the low-pressure system shoving warm, moist air from the Gulf into the Midwest. Calmer winds of 8 mph and prolonged chances for rain hitchhike with the humidity until Tuesday night. Storms produced would be towards afternoon/evening and are not expected to pose any threat to Milwaukee. Storm associated gusts should stay below 30 mph. Monday night finds a low of 70 before Tuesday repeats Monday’s forecast with a high of 81 and low of 68. Tuesday might see more rain earlier, so timing might change.

Wednesday & Thursday: Precipitation chances lessen as the week winds down. The low-pressure system turns winds to come from the north, influencing highs to remain around 81 and lows around 67 daily. Sunshine becomes more common, and winds become cooler and quieter, to the tune of 6 mph. Gusts may come at 16 mph, seemingly sauntering compared to days before. These two days seem to be the opposite of the upcoming weekend, so keep your forecasts up to date!
