Today: High pressure continues to dominate the region, contributing to poor air quality from the wildfire smoke. The Wisconsin DNR is continuing the Air Quality Advisory through noon today as it is expected to remain in an unhealthy level for sensitive groups before lightening up. Variable winds, clear skies, and cooler temperatures should at least help compensate as we can expect to see a morning low in the upper 50s and only warming into the mid 70s, leading to another otherwise nice day!

Tonight: Winds remain variable and temps will cool in the lower 60s into the morning hours. It should be another beautiful night, and with the lack of smoke that is currently expected, perhaps have a few windows open as you sleep.

Tomorrow: The aforementioned high pressure will start to move its way out of the region after giving us our cooler, but smokey weather the last few days. Nonetheless, it is still expected to be another beautiful day for the metro with clear skies, winds off the lake 5-10 mph, and temps ranging again from the upper 50s to the mid 70s.

Extended Forecast: The pattern starts to change a bit as we’ll start to see cloud cover and chances of rain return. Monday, lingering effects of the high will continue, bringing winds off the lake and temps reaching the upper 70s. Tuesday looks to be mostly the same, though with chances of rain showers in the afternoon. Wednesday winds are looking to be more out of the south, bringing the chance to see temps reach the mid 80s and maybe a stray chance of a rain shower or two.
