Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast for August 24, 2025 begins with a cooler fog. By the time most have woken up, a cool 63-degree morning greets us. A few clouds will be zipping by on the 14 mph wind. This will strengthen over the day to 16 mph before calming at night to 11 mph. Gusts will be potent, peaking at 26 mph. Upon these winds, a storm system will ride on into the southwest, carrying some rain. Thankfully, the rain will hold off until the evening, allowing Milwaukee to warm to a comfortable 70.

Note: Something interesting about the weather this upcoming week is the temperatures, as they “fall” into a cool, seasonal switch. Owing to the high-pressure system migrating to the southeast, northern coolness begins to envelope the upper Midwest. Looking ahead even further, another high-pressure system slinks down from northern Canada, continuing the cool down process. Meteorological fall begins September 1, so Mother Nature might be setting up shop.

Tonight: The rain progresses through the metro area around 5 p.m. Localized rainfall rates will vary up to 0.1 inch. As the sun sets and rain dissipates, temperatures fall to a low of 52 with passing clouds.

Tomorrow: Rain should have ended, fog set in, and sun start its rise as the morning commute gets underway. Temperatures have tamed as our high will only reach 67 before falling back into the 50s to a low of 50. Winds persist at 11 mph with gusts of 21 mph, creating an even cooler feel about the day. Some clouds will linger as residue from Sunday rain, but they will break up by the night.

Tuesday and Wednesday: For Tuesday and Wednesday, our sunrise and sunset should prove a better spectacle than days past with very few clouds. Without much cloud cover and calmer winds around 9 mph and gusts of 18 mph, Tuesday heats up to 69 with a low of 53. Wednesday repeats Tuesday, winds slowing to 8 mph, up to 17 mph, with a high of 73 and a low of 58.

Thursday: As the week’s high-pressure system exits southward, a new high-pressure system enters the north, churning up the possibility of overcast skies and rain showers. Contrasting the change, the high is expected to rise again into mid-70s and drop into mid-60s. Winds will be much less than previous days at an average 5 mph, but stray gusts will prove to be much stronger. Keep up to date with your local forecast as this rain gets closer!
