Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast for August 31, 2025 begins with a few clouds greeting the 68-degree morning. Winds stay off the lake for the day bringing an average of 7 mph with gusts of 14 mph. As Lake Michigan cools, so does our highs, and with fall just around the corner, a high of 72 sounds beautiful. Due to a high-pressure system inching through the area, the weather continues to be calm, even keeping clouds at bay. The clouds from the morning will dissipate as the day progresses. This will leave us with a gorgeous sunset and high-60s temperatures.
Tonight: Milwaukee’s fate for the night is clear skies, calm winds, and just before the dawn of Labor Day, a low of 53.
Tomorrow, Labor Day, First Day of Meteorological Fall: As a golden sunrise graces the east, Labor Day and meteorological fall kicks off in the low 60s but jumps to low 70s by noon. Winds remain the same, climbing back to an average of 7 mph with gusts of 14. Wind direction will have changed a little, to come more out of the east instead of a cooler northeast. Clouds will be here and there throughout the day but leave room for a picturesque sunset. Temperatures then fall back into the 50s for a low of 56.
Tuesday, September 2: As the shortened work week starts, the sky increases the grayscale as clouds gather to make this day partly cloudy. Temperatures stay about the same, only surpassing yesterday to come to a high of 75. Winds slow to an average of 5 mph with gusts barely reaching 12 mph. Sadly, our high-pressure system exits Tuesday, going into the east, leaving us with a warmer southeast wind. The sky increases its grayscale as clouds gather to make this day partly cloudy. An elusive sunset greets the eager onlooker as the night sets in. The low falls to a warmer 59 before Wednesday.

Wednesday, September 3: We arise to a warmer Wednesday morning, as temperatures begin a quick sprint into the mid-70s before a strong cold front enters Southeastern Wisconsin. Precipitation probabilities for the area resolve to us receiving a decent helping of rain. Models and trustworthy sources even predict high winds, up to 30 mph at least. Please take the necessary precautions leading up to and during this weather event. Stay up to date with your local forecast so you can adapt accordingly. Many models disagree with the timing and intensity. COLD air enters in afterward, giving us our first taste of fall weather. The low for Wednesday is 46.
Thursday, September 4: Thursday seems like the actual first day of fall, with temperatures strikingly chillier than previous days at a high of 58. Winds decrease a small bit to an average of 11 mph with gusts of 28 mph. The sky brings in just a little more clouds and possible rain towards the evening, but models are quite at odds as of this point. Lows drop to a cool 48 for the end of the 5-day weather forecast. Once again, stay up to date with your local forecasts. Wednesday and Thursday will be an extreme change to our nice summer days.
