Saturday
A brief break in the active pattern, but still cold. Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds through the afternoon with highs only in the mid 20s, well below normal for early December. Winds stay light from the northwest at 5-10 mph, so wind chills won’t be too harsh. Clouds increase toward evening as the next system approaches from the Plains.
Saturday Night
The next disturbance arrives, spreading light snow into southern Wisconsin after midnight. Snow looks light but steady toward daybreak. Accumulations by sunrise: 0.5-1 inch, with locally up to 1.5 inches depending on band placement. Temperatures drop into the upper teens to low 20s with a light east/northeast wind at 5-10 mph.

Sunday
Light snow continues through the morning, tapering to flurries by midday as the system exits east. Overall totals from Saturday night into Sunday: 1-2 inches for most of Milwaukee County with spots possible up to 3 inches. Winds turn northwest 10-15 mph, helping dry things out but keeping highs cold, only in the mid 20s, with wind chills in the teens. The afternoon trends mostly cloudy but quieter.
Sunday Night
A much colder night as high pressure settles overhead. Skies partially clear, allowing temperatures to fall into the low teens, with colder suburban/rural areas dipping into the single digits. Winds stay light northwest 5-8 mph, which may still drive wind chills into the single digits above zero.
Monday
High pressure dominates with dry weather and more sunshine, but very cold air remains locked in. Highs only reach the low to mid 20s, around 15 below normal. Winds turn west 5-10 mph, keeping wind chills stuck in the teens. There is potential for light snow showers at night again otherwise a quiet winter day, but brisk.
Tuesday
Another weak system may clip the region, though details remain uncertain. At this point, expect a mix of clouds and scattered light flurries or sprinkles, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Highs recover slightly into the upper 20s to near 30, with west winds 8-12 mph. No meaningful accumulation expected at this time though it could change as it is a few days away.
Wednesday
The weak system continues to slide across the Great Lakes on Wednesday, keeping mostly cloudy skies and a chance for scattered light snow showers or flurries (40%). Moisture and forcing are limited, so this looks like a lighter, patchy event with little accumulation, and many areas may see little more than brief flakes or sprinkles. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s, with a light southwest wind around 10 mph. No major impacts expected at this time, but it will feel like early-season winter.
