Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast February 22, 2026, begins at a cold 18-degrees with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures stay low in the morning but sprout up to a high of 26 in the early afternoon. When this happens, the now overcast skies let some snow loose over Milwaukee, lasting into the night. Northwestern winds howl through the streets during the day and night, averaging 15 mph with over 30 mph gusts.

Tonight: At midnight, the snow exits over Lake Michigan, leaving us with snow totals near a quarter inch. Clouds break away afterward, revealing the stars but also allowing the heat of the day to escape. Because of this, temperatures to plummet to a chilly low of 13.

Tomorrow: A beautiful sunrise marks the beginning of the work week in Milwaukee. Thanks to the sunshine and calming winds, temperatures recover into the mid-20s. In the evening, winds halt and clouds return slowly. Partly cloudy skies meet southwestern winds late in the night, keeping temperatures near the low of 18.

Tuesday: In the morning, winds rapidly increase to an average of 14 mph. These southwestern winds launch temperatures to a high of 37. After Monday night, pressures continue their descent, announcing the entrance of a low-pressure system with a quick round of snow. Snow starts to fall in the early afternoon and ends around midnight, accumulating to a quarter inch. As the system exits, winds turn sharply to pull in cooler air from the northwest. Only averaging 8 mph, temperatures do not react greatly, slumping to 24 for a low.

Extended: Looking ahead, a high-pressure system hurries through Wednesday morning, briefly breaking the clouds. Following behind, a snowy low-pressure system sweeps through Wednesday evening. This forces temperatures up into the 30s and, with the passing of the cold front, down to a low of 20. Models generally agree that the precipitation remains snow for the duration of the showers, but the timing currently remains variable. Some models show Wednesday’s snow starting at noon, while others show it starting late at night. All the while, winds breeze along at 11 mph, gusting occasionally to 28 mph. After 15 hours of snowfall, accumulations reach a half inch. Thursday temperatures reach a high of 33, before cold air pushes back through Milwaukee, causing a low of 22. It is worth noting a heavy band of snow travels to the south, so stay tuned to keep updated on its path!
