Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast February 6, 2026 starts with a return of snow. The morning commute might be affected by the quick onset of snow, so be cautious when traveling. While the snow accumulates to a quarter inch, winds average 9 mph, gusting to 20 mph in isolated cases. Clouds break at noon, announcing the end of round one for snow, and the entrance of warmer air. Due to persistent southwestern winds, temperatures rise past the 20s to 33 for a high at 2 p.m. This bodes well for the evening commute, because by then most of the new snow should have melted.
Tonight: High humidity and warm western winds succeed a partly cloudy sunset, prohibiting the temperature from falling below 29. Temperatures cause some concern tonight, because 29 sits close enough to the freezing point to turn a snowfall to freezing rain or a wintry mix. This said, after midnight, clouds gather quickly and push through the second round of snow. Riding on fast upper-level air, this snow system reduces visibilities in a few areas as heavy snow bands localizes snowfall rates. Expect the snow to last until tomorrow morning around 8 a.m. and to total just under a half inch of snow.

Tomorrow: Winds begin turning to the north in the morning, but not fast enough to prevent a 35-degree high. Around noon, clouds condense into isolated bands and could push through one more round of snow. Models currently point to concentrated wet snow bands forming and dumping another tenth of an inch in Milwaukee. If conditions change for the worse, snow squalls cannot be ruled out, but this chance remains quite small for now. Remain cautious in lunchtime rush Friday. Precipitation chances drop to zero after 4 p.m. while gusts up to 34 mph force another blast of arctic air into southeastern Wisconsin. Without clouds to act as a blanket, Milwaukee finds temperatures falling to 9 by the end of the night.
Weekend Outlook: Saturday starts chilly but warms to 22 with the arrival of another low-pressure system in the evening. Snowflakes begin to appear in the evening, continuing through the 13-degree night, and into the late morning of Sunday. Accumulating to a few tenths of an inch, this new snow could turn into a wintry mix at the end as temperatures reach 29 for a high on Sunday. Winds steadily pick up over the weekend, going from an average of 5 mph on Saturday to 12 mph Sunday. Thanks to these southern winds, Sunday temperatures only bottom out at 21.
Extended: The upcoming work week eyes a break into the 40s, while Monday sets the stage, hitting 38. Clouds keep away while winds hold steady around 11 mph. Within the first days of next week, another storm system passes over Milwaukee. Models greatly disagree with each other on this, so stay up to date with your local forecasts. As always, stay safe!
