Overview: A sunny Saturday and Sunday give way to a building heat dome Monday. Monday through Wednesday, Milwaukee will see the return of muggy 90-degree temperatures with tropical dew points.

Today: Saturday looks to be a nice summer day across the Milwaukee area. Temperatures will rise through the mid-60s and low 70s during the morning hours accompanied by a northeast wind around 5-10 mph under mostly sunny skies. Brilliant sunshine continues into the afternoon which will help temperatures reach the low 80s for high with northeast winds around 10 mph. Winds will shift to the north by the evening and slow to around 5 mph.

Overnight: Clear skies overnight will help temperatures slide down into the mid-60s for a low with north winds staying consistent.

Tomorrow: Sunday will be the last cool day over Wisconsin for an extended stretch. Much like Saturday, sunny skies can be expected as temperatures will rise through the mid-60s and and 70s in the morning with a calm northeast wind. Mid-80s can be expected by the afternoon with winds turning to the east with speeds around 5 mph under sunny skies. Skies will remain clear into the evening and last through the overnight which will allow temperatures to cool into the upper 60s for a low with winds swinging to the west as a dome of high pressure sinks southward which will be the culprit of heat in the coming days.

Extended: On Monday the real hot and humid weather begins as the aforementioned high pressure system stations itself south of Wisconsin. Mostly sunny skies will dominate, helping highs reach the low 90s. Combined with dew points in the mid-60s, heat indices will land in the mid-90s. West winds generally between 5-10 mph won’t offer much relief from the heat either. Overnight, winds will stay consistent as temperatures only make it down into the low 70s and dew points relax into the upper 50s under clear skies.

Tuesday looks to be the hottest day of the week. High temperatures could top out in the lower 90s paired with dew points in the mid 60s. Because heat indices could reach the upper 90s to 100℉ mark, a heat advisory may be issued for the Milwaukee area. Winds will turn to the southwest around 10 mph during the day and then decrease to around 5 mph overnight. Lows will only make it down into the low 70s, with dew points staying rising into  the low 70s under mostly clear skies. A weak cold front will begin to make its way overhead by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday a weak cold front will stall out north of the Milwaukee area. Because of this temperatures will remain in the low 90s for highs with dewpoints hovering around the 70℉ mark. Furthermore, winds will be out of the west winds around 5 mph under mostly sunny skies. Winds shift to the north by the evening because of the aforementioned cold front which will slowly make its way into Milwaukee overnight. Still, clear skies are expected however temperatures will only be able to make it down into the low 70s with calm north winds.
