Friday, July 18:
We’ll kick off Friday with sunshine and a cool, crisp breeze as high pressure holds on for one more day. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be light and from the northwest around 5 to 10 mph, keeping dew points low and the air feeling comfortable. It’s a great day to get outside.
Friday Night:
Clouds will begin to increase after sunset as a warm front and weak low pressure system start approaching from the west. Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to arrive late, mainly after midnight into Saturday with a 50–60% chance of rain toward morning. Lows will settle near 60°F with light southeast winds picking up a little overnight.
Saturday, July 19:
Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder may linger into the morning hours. Models show the steadiest activity focused near and north of I-94, but the exact placement still has some wiggle room. Once the first round moves out, there could be a lull, then a chance for some spotty redevelopment in the afternoon closer to the IL border, depending on how quickly the cold front passes. Highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s with humid conditions. Winds will turn south around 10–15 mph with gusts near 20 mph.
Saturday Night:
Most of the showers should taper off by evening, though a few isolated storms may linger early in far southeastern Wisconsin. Skies will gradually begin to clear overnight with lows in the low to mid 60s. Winds shift north-northeast at 5 to 10 mph behind the front, bringing in a slightly drier airmass.

Sunday, July 20:
Sunday looks like a nice bounce back day. Clouds may hang around early near the IL border, but much of the area will turn partly to mostly sunny by afternoon. Expect highs in the low to mid 70s and lower dew points for a less humid feel. Winds will be light from the northeast around 5–10 mph.
Monday, July 21:
High pressure shifts east and opens the door to warmer, stickier air. Monday looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds, highs in the low 80s, and dew points creeping back into the mid 60s. Winds turn southeast around 10 mph. A few isolated showers or storms could bubble up late in the day, but most of us will stay dry.
Tuesday, July 22:
Tuesday turns breezy and warm, with highs again in the mid-80s and dew points well into the upper 60s. Southerly winds increase to 15–20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph at times, helping fuel scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. Not everyone will see rain, but it’ll feel more unsettled and summery, with that familiar humid stormy buzz in the air.
