Today: A dominant surface high-pressure system persists over much of northern Wisconsin and Lake Superior for the coming days, causing mild temperatures in the low 70s with a dry dewpoint in the high 50s. Clouds will be sparse for a majority of the day, but smoke from the Canadian wildfires will still be prevalent in the atmosphere causing a haze to occur in some areas. Winds will be out of the northeast at a windy 15 mph with gusts reaching 25 mph in some areas, especially along the lakeshore.

Tonight: Winds die down slightly overnight to a still considerable 10 mph with 15 mph gusts but remain off of the lake, bringing possible scattered showers after midnight into the early hours of Friday. Cloud cover otherwise will be predominantly clear, and temperatures should cool off into the low 60s overnight.

On Monday, the system finally moves out of the area, leaving higher temps in the low 80s and cloudy skies in its wake.
