Overview: Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast July 8th, 2026, starts hot in the 90s, drops into the low-80s after Wednesday and Thursday storms, then heats back up over the weekend.
Today: A light fog lifts over the lake with the rising of the sun. Despite the brief period of sunshine, temperatures still reach the 80s by the end of the morning rush. Sadly, dewpoints also rise, hitting the mid-60s as the afternoon temperatures hit 90 for a high. Without clouds in the morning and 8-mph winds from the southwest, the morning feels much warmer than the afternoon. Gusts up to 15 mph then come from the lake in an attempt to cool us down, but storms draw near from the north. This causes lighter southern winds without any gusts in the late evening. Hovering near 88, temperatures only drop significantly as the storms pass.
Tonight: Thunderstorms start in the afternoon north of Fond Du Lac, but these travel to the southeast during the evening commute. Along their way, these dissipate, especially with the setting sun. Entering the Milwaukee area by 7 p.m., these scattered downpours include gusts up to 28 mph and the extremely isolated chance of hail. Overnight, showers persist until midnight with a break in the rain and then chance showers and isolated thunderstorms into the next morning. On the bright side, temperatures fall to 68 for a low.
Tomorrow: Morning showers and fog lift around 10 a.m., allowing temperatures to increase to 81 for a high. Averaging 5 mph, winds barely gust higher than 15 mph. In an isolated storm in the afternoon or evening, gusts could reach 22 mph. The rain will be quite localized, but Milwaukee should accumulate a quarter inch of rain from Wednesday and Thursday. Precipitation ends as the sun sets, so hopefully the clouds give way to a beautiful end to the day. Temperatures dip into the low-60s during the night without many clouds keeping our heat.
Friday: We stay on the cooler side Friday with 6-mph winds from the northeast which continue into Saturday. Gusts remain subdued as well, only reaching 18 mph over Friday. In the sky, rain should hold off, but clouds are a common sight throughout the day. Temperatures cool slightly to 77 degrees before dropping to 68 at night.
Weekend Outlook: We seem to be positioned for a dry weekend, as a high pressure sits overhead. Northeastern air continues to enter Milwaukee on Saturday, riding on winds of 8 mph and gusts up to 22 mph. Although helping cool the area, temperatures still rise to the upper 80s for a high and 73 for a low. Sunday proves much hotter, reaching the mid-90s, however, dewpoints should stay low. Sunshine rarely gets disrupted over the weekend. Ending in the mid-70s for a low Sunday, a low pressure drops in from the north. Stay tuned for temperature updates!
