Overview: Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast June 29th, 2026, flirts with record highs for temperatures and possibly rain totals. Beware of the heat!
Today: As the broken clouds give way to the sun rays, Milwaukee exits the low-60s, headed for the high of 77 aided by a southeastern wind at 8 mph. Whether from southeast or southwest, southern winds dominate in the forecast. Deepening low-pressure systems to our west influence our wind for most of the week. Over the course of Sunday, winds hit 14 mph in the afternoon with gusts of 18 mph. Sitting so near to low-pressure systems, Wisconsin experiences a train of storms in this final week of June. Rain enters Milwaukee at 2 p.m., unloading the remnants of a stronger morning storm from Minnesota. Dissipating as it goes, this rain exits before dinnertime.
Tonight: Temperatures reach down to the high-60s for the last time in this forecast. With the sun’s evaporation of the fallen rain and upper-air fluctuations working together, Milwaukee sees more rain from midnight until 4 a.m. These rains might prompt some locally significant pooling of water on roadways and low-lying areas, especially north of I-94. In the event of finding flooded roads, remember: turn around, don’t drown. Downtown should receive the lower end estimations of a quarter inch. On the other hand, those traveling in Southeastern Wisconsin might witness a storm capable of much more than this. Within the worst of these storms, hail and winds up to 35 mph cannot be ruled out. Be extremely careful in the early hours of Monday, as a blanket of fog persists until after the morning rush.

Tomorrow: While Southeastern Wisconsin dries out, the evaporation of Sunday’s rain adds onto the already humid and southern winds. Picking up to 12 mph with gusts of 28, these winds usher in a week of 90-degree weather and oppressive humidity. Heat indexes hit the near 105. Be kind to your body and drink water, limit outdoor activities, and try to find cooler air in buildings when possible. Clouds increase overhead as the rays of the sun turn gold around 8 p.m. Temperatures ease down to the mid-70s, and locally near enough to the dewpoint of 72 to send fog rolling, especially nearer to the lake.
Tuesday: Precipitation chances return in the late morning, but these showers quickly end. Helping to bring the sunshine, winds blow at 14 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. Sticking with the humidity, Milwaukee heats up to 97 with dewpoints around 75. This places the heat index around 110; it will feel unbearably hot. High-temperature records might be broken Tuesday, as 97 is only 3 degrees off Milwaukee’s 1931 record. Furthermore, our low temperature of 80 meets the low temperature’s highest recorded temperature for that day.
Extended: Records continue to be challenged Wednesday with highs of 98 and lows of 76. Calming down from Tuesday, winds breeze along from the southwest at 12 mph with gusts of 25 mph. Upon this wind, humidity still places heat indexes in the 100s. Precipitation also starts up in the afternoon with pop-up showers and isolated thunderstorms possible. Thursday repeats this, but with lower numbers, except for increased precipitation chances in the early morning and afternoon. Beginning a long trek back into regular temperatures, temperatures slide to 93 degrees for a high and 71 for a low. Stay aware of your weather this week!
