Overview: Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast May 24th, 2026, dives straight into warmer temperatures and partly cloudy skies as we “thread the needle” with our weather this week.
Today: Despite a wet morning, Sunday dries out thanks to clearing skies and high temperatures in the 70s. Brief showers dampen Southeastern Wisconsin from 7-10 a.m., especially south of I-94 and east of I-43. Quickly afterward, clouds turn to sunshine and warmer temperatures, which rocket through the 60s before noon. Thanks to the sun’s warming of the land, exiting northwestern winds force warmer air into the area. Speeds and temperatures depend however on location. Inland and before the evening, wind gusts could hit 30 mph, specifically farther north on I-41 and west on I-94, so exercise caution when driving in the Memorial Day traffic. In Milwaukee, however, on the lake only sees average wind speeds peak out at 10 mph, while gusts reach 20 mph. Temperatures inland reach up into the high-70s while Milwaukee tops out at 73. Grilling, yard games, and outdoor fun appear to be a wonderful idea.
Tonight: Before getting into the night, temperatures gently cool off, aided along by an occasional light breeze off the lake. At 8:17 p.m. with few clouds overhead, many should be able to enjoy the graceful end of the day. Except those relaxing around firepits and warmer buildings, we cool off to 54 in the night. Fog rolls in with the changing wind in the night, bringing around some dew, right before the arrival of Memorial Day.
Tomorrow: Milwaukee’s Memorial Day begins damp from dew while the fog quickly clears. Temperatures spike into the 80s as clouds increase around noon. While rain clouds enter from the north with gusts of wind up to 20 mph, their line of showers dissipates. This likely proves to be too slow, as the Milwaukee area receives a trace amount of rain from 2-4 p.m. This shouldn’t stop any Memorial Day festivities from happening, as things dry off fast afterward. Then, winds die down to average 6 mph and turn slightly off the lake, cooling things down on the lakeside. Once again, clouds break up and reveal a beautiful sunset, ending the extended weekend. Temperatures sink to 61 in the night.

Tuesday: Milwaukee enters into a rather uncertain weather pattern for the rest of the week. With northbound winds strengthening to an average of 7 mph with gusts up to 17 mph, this might not seem true. Despite relatively normal winds, pressures clash in the north and south, but currently, pressures do not change much in Milwaukee. As a high-pressure system enters Wisconsin from the north, another high out by the Carolinas meets it. With a low-pressure system to our west, this set up sends moisture to our north and south, but no rain should fall on Tuesday in Milwaukee. Instead, Milwaukee hits 87 degrees for a high, maintains partly cloudy skies, and then falls to 62 in the night.
Extended: Further into the week, Wednesday sees the northern high-pressure system drop south. This system collides with the southern winds of our early week and produces a 30% chance of rain showers. With clouds overhead, winds from the north also increase with 24-mph gusts and 9-mph average winds. Cooler air begins to enter Southeastern Wisconsin, sending Wednesday’s low down to 53. Thursday battles against the cooler, lake air with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the lower 50s. Calming throughout the day, winds fall to 7 mph with gusts below 20 mph. Sunshine is expected to return for the day. Stay tuned to see if this continues!
