Today: Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. November looks to start out on a cold and wet note. Any showers from Friday night will continue through all of Saturday. This isolated shower activity is all made possible by a weakening low level trough draped over Wisconsin. Isolated rain chances will be possible for most of Saturday with more numerous showers during the morning hours. Rain amounts won’t be anything outstanding by Saturday evening rain amounts could be between 0.30-0.40 inches. Temperatures will only be able to crack the mid 40’s for a day time high because of mostly cloudy conditions and rain cooled air. Also, gusty north winds with sustained speeds from 10-15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph will be possible throughout Saturday.

Overnight: All shower activity will end by Saturday evening. Temperatures will look to slide back into the upper 30s for overnight lows with winds easing to around 5 mph out of the north. Even with the rain showers ending, mostly cloudy conditions will still persist overnight.

Tomorrow: Sunday, two weather makers will be battling to take control of Wisconsin’s weather. Unfortunately a strong low pressure system that is traversing the U.S Canadian border will win out to high pressure from the south. Connected to the low pressure system is a warm front which will slide through Wisconsin on Sunday. This weather maker will switch Milwaukee’s wind directions to the southwest, but speeds remain very calm to start. This wind direction change will draw in warmer temps and additional rain chances. Temperatures will rise through the 40’s Sunday morning and end up topping out in the below 50’s for a daytime high and winds will slowly increase throughout the day with sustained speeds between 5-10 mph. All of Sunday will be dry despite mostly cloudy skies however by midnight another band of isolated rain showers will approach from the northwest. Models are consistent with rain coverage and amounts from this weather maker however, little rain accumulations are expected. Low temperatures will only be able to drop down into the low 40s with southwest wind remaining elevated throughout the overnight hours (around 10 mph). Finally please remember to turn back your clocks as day light savings time comes to an end.

Extended: The work may start out a little gloomy, however overall Monday through Wednesday we will see high temperatures hang in the mid 50’s and low temperatures in the upper 30’s and low 40’s. Monday morning a cold front will slide through from the west but, mostly cloudy skies and rain showers will end by mid morning (around 10 p.m.). Winds will switch to the west with sustained speeds between 10-15 mph by the afternoon from the passing front. Also skies will begin to clear Monday afternoon, however clear skies won’t last as skies begin to cloud over again Monday night. Tuesday will be a lot like Monday with a cloudy start, but sun by the afternoon with another switch in the wind this time to the southwest again, with very calm speeds. By the evening and overnight winds will switch once more to the east with speeds remaining calm. Wednesday will be another replay with cloudy skies to start and sunny skies to finish the day. Winds look to turn to the northeast, but remain calm.
