Today: We awaken to mostly sunny skies today with temperatures in the mid 50s. While it may look nice out, breezier northeast winds are on tap with gusts up to 15-20 mph until the afternoon. A surface high-pressure system that’s positioned northwest of our area keeps warmer temperatures from filtering in, preventing temps from exceeding 60 degrees for the day. Winds calm during the afternoon hours as clouds develop overhead. The main daylight hours look to keep us dry as temperatures peak at a high of 60.

Tonight: As evening falls, northeast winds prevail with returning gusts around 15-20 mph. Rain chances rise later in the evening as isolated showers move in from west of our region. We may see our first sprinkle of rain around 9 p.m., though the system doesn’t look to fully affect our area until around midnight. Low temperatures fall to 53 degrees as rainy skies carry into the overnight.
