Today: Thursday sees unseasonably hot temperatures during the day with a high in the mid to upper 70s, a full 20 degrees higher than the average for the month. Skies will be mostly sunny, only adding to the heat and winds from the south at 10 mph with gusts topping out at 15 mph provide little to no relief throughout the day. Dew points in the mid 50s however keep us out of the “muggy” zone, and winds shift to off the lake into the night, clearing out some of the heat of the day.

Tonight: Things cool off considerably overnight, leading to an overnight low in the upper 50s. Winds shift to blowing out of the south again at 5 mph, moving whatever cloud cover we had during the day over the lake and bringing clear skies throughout the night and into Friday.

Tomorrow: Friday continues the trend of very warm weather, with a high breaching 80 degrees and finally landing around 85℉ during the day and clear skies heating things up in the city and anywhere else there is a lot of concrete and blacktop. Winds out of the south die down a little, with an average wind speed of 5 mph expected during the day and into the night, where much cooler temperatures move in leading to an overnight low in the low 60s.

Saturday, October 4th – Monday, October 6th: Saturday is slightly cooler than Friday, but is still unreasonably hot for this time of year, with a high in the low 80s and clear skies throughout the day and into the night. Sunday sees the southerly winds speed back up to 10 mph, bringing with it warm air and clear skies, coupled with a high in the low 80s during the day. Monday has the potential for some light showers, especially during the morning, before becoming overcast for the rest of the day. Temperatures seem to die down into the next week, bringing the high to a moderate 70 degrees.
