Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast September 7, 2025 continues our taste of fall. Morning temperatures of 52 rise by mid-afternoon to 66. Compared to historical records, our beginning of September averages to be a bit chillier than usual, but this changes over the course of the week, evident by the warmup today. Expect clouds to stray across the sky, especially in the afternoon, but they clear up by late-evening. Winds calm down from yesterday’s gustiness to maximum gusts of 15 mph and sustained average winds of 7 mph. Moreover, this settles down throughout the day, falling to 3 mph by sunset.

Tonight: Tonight’s sunset should present as a grand end to the weekend, with low winds, no clouds and comfortable temperatures around 60. The temperature plummets to the high-40s, bottoming out at 49.

Tomorrow: The work week begins in the 50s without clouds as the sun rises in the east, warming Milwaukee to 70 before clouds gather in the late afternoon. Winds pick up to an average of 11 mph with gusts topping 20 mph by the end of the day, as the high-pressure system shielding our Sunday from the clouds and rain exits to the southeast. This increases precipitation chances for the middle of the week, but Monday remains dry. No drips are expected during the night either, but a drop in temperature puts us back to 52 for a low.

Tuesday: Sunrays slice through drab morning clouds to greet our crisp, fall air. Repetition of dry, mild days followed by cool, crisp nights aids greatly in the development of vibrant fall colors. This cycle of the past days stops Tuesday. Although the metro area heats up to a semi-mild 72, incoming rain puts a damper on things. The past high-pressure system launches hotter, humid air north from the Gulf, while the entering low-pressure system in Minnesota shoves down cool air. These clash in southern Wisconsin, fueling some higher winds of 10 mph, with gusts of 23 mph, and evening drizzle. With the rain cooling down the area, Tuesday sees a low of 60.

Wednesday & Thursday: Wednesday morning might be greeted by a stray thunder, but rain showers continue as the most probable occurrence, as the storm system will dissipate by noon. Winds dissipate along with it, averaging a slow 5 mph. Flowing across Lake Michigan, while winds might be slow, gusts can be expected of 10 mph or more. Temperatures will be comparable to Tuesday. Precipitation chances steadily decline as the day comes to a close. Thursday maintains low 70s highs and low 60s lows for temperatures. Eastern winds blow stronger though, averaging 8 mph with gusts of 16 mph, not allowing for much warming otherwise. Clouds still pose a problem, as some models trend towards rain, but others present clear skies. Stay up to date with your local forecast to not be caught off guard!
