Today:
Cloudy skies and lingering showers are expected through the morning hours as a cold front continues to move across the state. Temperatures will begin to fall behind the front gradually, and conditions will turn noticeably cooler as the day progresses. Winds will remain blustery throughout the day, with sustained winds and occasional gusts between 20 and 35 mph, making it feel even cooler at times.
By the afternoon, skies will begin to clear, allowing for some periods of sunshine. However, temperatures will already be on the decline, with highs reaching the mid-60s before cooling off later in the afternoon and evening.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies will persist into the evening hours as cooler air settles in. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the upper 30s, bringing a crisp and chilly feel to the night. Winds will gradually decrease but remain breezy at times, with gusts between 10 and 15 mph continuing into early Wednesday morning.

Tomorrow: The next system will begin moving into the area Tuesday night, leaving partly sunny skies to start the day on Wednesday. However, clouds will quickly increase by the afternoon, bringing a renewed chance for showers. High temperatures will be cooler, reaching only into the low 50s, with easterly winds between 10 and 20 mph adding to the chill. Showers will become more widespread in the evening and overnight hours, with low temperatures dipping into the low 40s by early Thursday morning.
Extended, Thursday, May 1st- Saturday, May 3rd: Heading into the rest of the week, showers along with some thunderstorm chances will continue into Thursday. High temperatures will climb into the upper 50s. The best opportunity for a few isolated, weak thunderstorms will be late Thursday night into early Friday morning, as low temperatures fall into the mid-40s.
On Friday, skies will remain mostly cloudy, but shower chances will gradually decrease throughout the day as drier air moves in. We’ll start to dry out just in time for the beginning of the weekend. Temperatures will reach into the mid-50s.
Saturday is shaping up to be much nicer, with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures reaching into the upper 50s!
