Today, June 10: Your Tuesday looks to be beautiful! High pressure moves into the area, bringing ample sunshine and somewhat summer-like temperatures with it. Temperatures will be in the low 70s, but will likely feel warmer with the abundance of sunshine we’ll see. Winds will be light, 10-15 mph out of the west, which will help raise temperatures. There is a very slight chance of a pop-up rain shower, however, anything that does develop will be brief and isolated. Nothing severe is expected to occur.

Tonight: Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s, but some places could stay in the low 60s overnight. Skies will remain clear overnight, which could cause temperatures to fall a little further. Fog isn’t expected, but could occur if temperatures fall low enough. Any fog that does form will dissipate once the sun comes up on Wednesday.

Wednesday, June 11: Summer returns Wednesday as high pressure stays in place for another day. Temperatures will warm into the upper 70s and likely even crack 80 once the afternoon rolls around. Winds will remain light, around 10 mph, and ample sunshine will stick around for much of the day. As the evening approaches, so does another system that will give us a chance for rain. Beginning in the late evening hours, clouds will begin to move in and showers and storms will be close behind. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms, with hail and strong winds being the main threats. Be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings, especially ones that will wake you up in the middle of the night if necessary! Temperatures will fall into the mid-50s as the night goes on.

Extended Forecast, Thursday, June 12 – Saturday, June 14: Thursday will start off rainy as that system that brought us some rumbles of thunder overnight sticks around. Rain will be on and off throughout the day with an occasional thunderstorm mixed in. There doesn’t look to be any severe weather associated with this, however. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s, but could get into the upper 60s if we see a little sun. Friday looks very similar to Thursday, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s and a chance for rain during the day. Saturday looks a little better as rain chances look to go down, but temperatures will likely remain in the low 60s.
