Today, May 3: Today is looking to be cooler than average as we will be dominated by winds off the late. Winds are not expected to be strong, only peaking 15-20mph by midday. Clouds will continue to linger through the morning, starting to taper out by the afternoon where we can expect some sunshine! This mix of wind and clouds will give us a morning temperature in the lower 40s, warming into the lower 50s once the clouds move out. However, the lake will keep temperatures from rising into the mid-to-upper 50s like can be expected further inland.
Tonight: Clouds will have moved out as an area of high pressure starts to build west of here resulting in a clear night. Winds expected to weaken to a calm 5-10mph and temperatures will drop into the upper 30s prior to sunrise.
Tomorrow, May 4: Sunday starts out with us in the mid 30s prior to sunrise, getting as high as the mid 50s before winds off the lake start to drop them by the late afternoon into the evening. These winds could get as high as 20-25mph. Along with this is the chance for some rain showers, especially later in the day as a low south of the IL/WI border will control our weather the remainder of the night. These storm chances will keep us under a blanket of clouds most of the day.

Extended, May 5 – May 7:
Monday, May 5: Congrats on making it to the last week of classes! We start off the week under the influence of the low-pressure system to our south, bringing with it cooler temperatures off the lake. Chances of rain will still exist through at least the afternoon as the low finally moves out. We can expect a morning low to be in the mid 40s, rising to the upper 40s by midday. If clouds can clear early enough, could see us crack 50.
Tuesday, May 6: The arrival of high pressure today into the region will bring clearer skies and warmer temperatures! The morning is looking to start off cool in the mid 40s, but quickly rising into the low-to-upper 60s by midday. Light winds off the lake will likely limit any tremendous warming immediately along the lakeshore, aiding to a lake breeze later in the day.
Wednesday, May 7: Wednesday is looking to be partly sunny most of the day with a chance of some isolated rain before clearing out later. Temps in the morning are looking to be in the upper 40s, warming into the upper 50s by the afternoon. Winds coming off the lake will help drop the temps along the lake as the afternoon progresses.
