Today: It sure has been a warmer than average stretch of weather this week with Friday continuing that trend. Friday looks to start off on a partly cloudy note, which is due to a weak low pressure system spinning out west. This system will move further east through Friday. Ahead of this weather maker, winds Friday morning will be out of the northeast around 5 mph as temperatures rise through the upper 60’s and end up in the lower 70’s by early afternoon. By late afternoon winds look to turn more east gusting 5-10 mph as cloudy conditions take control over the Milwaukee area.
Overnight: Through the late evening and into your overnight Friday winds will turn once more to the south east still only gusting 5-10 mph. However, because of this wind change showers from the aforementioned low pressure system will start to move in from the south and over the Milwaukee area overnight. With this rain cooled air, temperatures will look to slide back into the mid 60’s for a low with overcast along with rainy conditions continuing into Saturday morning.
Tomorrow: Saturday is looking like a very overcast day with a couple of rounds of thunder showers. During the morning winds will be gusting 10 to 15 mph from the south- southeast with temperatures rising through the upper 60’s and topping out in the mid 70’s by early afternoon. Rain showers will be continuing before ending around 10 a.m. But, by the afternoon winds will calm a bit and turn more to the south. Furthermore, with temperatures in the mid 70’s and dew points values hanging in the low 60’s we may get a few breaks of sunshine before the same low pressure system bearing a stationary front will finally slide through the Milwaukee area bringing more thunder showers by late evening (after 7 p.m.). Winds will stay calm and out of the south overnight Saturday as temperatures bottom out in the mid 60’s with mostly cloudy conditions and off and on rain chances into Sunday morning.
Extended: Sunday is going to be more of the same with cloudy conditions prevailing for most of the day from the reminiscence of the low pressure system now off to our east. Winds will be gusting 5-10 mph from the southwest throughout most of the day before becoming calm overnight. Temperatures should be able to work into the upper 70’s in the afternoon despite the cloud cover. There may be a stray shower in the late afternoon sprinkling over the Milwaukee area, but by no means anything significant. Low temperatures should ease back down into the low 60’s with mostly cloudy conditions continuing overnight. Monday and Tuesday the wet patterns continue with more chances of showers in the afternoon and mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures both days should remain in the low 70’s for a highs and low 60’s overnight. One change to note is that the winds will be turning from the southwest on Monday morning to the north by Tuesday morning gusting no more than 5-10 mph during this period and hopefully ushering in a cooler weather pattern.
