The Milwaukee Bucks hosted their 4th annual Fan Fest today. Bucks fans filled the downtown arena for four hours of food and games.
Doors opened at 11:30 am, and the Bucks took the floor for an open practice at Noon. Fans got a look at the team for the upcoming 2016-2017 season, including new draft picks, Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon.
“This is a great way for fans to come and meet our team for the upcoming season,” said Brian Begley, who works with the Milwaukee Bucks Live Game Entertainment. “It’s a really great afternoon for fans to interact with the players.”
Following the Open Practice, the hardwood floor was transformed into a festival ground with photo booths, autograph tables, and more interactive stations. Fans even got a chance to play the newly released NBA 2K17 with Bucks stars, Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Fans were eager to get involved with their sports team before the season.
“We come to the Fan Fest every year,” said a father of two and Milwaukee resident. “We’re season ticket holders and can’t wait for the season.”
Representatives for the Bucks were on-site to help fans with securing tickets for the new season. The Bucks will host the Hornets on Oct. 26 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center for the season-opener.
