Bucks star and two-time reigning Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo announced on his social media Tuesday afternoon that he is signing a five year, $228 million Supermax contract to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Antetokounmpo, who was drafted by the Bucks in 2013, has lead Milwaukee to the postseason the past four seasons. The four-time all star also helped his team earn the top seed in the Eastern Conference the past two seasons.

Last week, Antetokounmpo told the media that he was focused on the upcoming season and letting his agents handle the contract, causing speculation to arise amongst the Bucks fanbase.

The contract has a player option on the fifth year, meaning Antetokounmpo can opt-out and become a free agent after the 2024-2025 season.

Milwaukee is set to tip off their season on December 23 in Boston against the Celtics and will play their first home game on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors.
