Today, Tuesday, April 1st:  High pressure keeps today dry and mild, with morning lows near freezing. We may see a few hours of partial clearing, and winds will be out of the east at 5–10 mph. By the afternoon, highs will reach the low 40s, with a chance for scattered showers as high pressure begins to move out, making way for the next low-pressure system. Light drizzle could begin after 3 p.m. As this transition occurs, clouds will return and winds will shift to the south, increasing to 15–20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight: Temperatures will dip to near freezing and precipitation may transition to a wintry mix or light snow showers. No accumulation is expected. Skies will remain overcast, and gusty winds will persist, with overnight lows in the low 30s.

Wednesday, April 2nd:  IMPACT DAY! Rain showers will linger through Wednesday morning, with low temperatures in the upper 30s. Winds will stay breezy from the south at 15–20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph. In the afternoon, a warm front will lift through the area, increasing atmospheric instability. Thunderstorms may develop ahead of it, especially between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Storm Prediction Center has assessed a slight risk of severe weather for the day, with the biggest risks being damaging winds and tornado chances likely further south. While uncertainty remains, the potential for severe weather is gradually increasing—stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings. High temperatures will rise into the low to mid-60s. Showers will taper off by the evening, and winds will begin to ease, with gusts dropping to 10–15 mph. Clouds will gradually clear overnight.
