Today: An active period of weather continues for the Milwaukee area this weekend. Saturday morning temperatures will rise through the high 60s and 70s with a blustery southwest wind between 12 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. By the afternoon, clouds will increase, but temperatures will still be able to soar into the low 80s for a high with dew points in the low 60s, making feel a bit sticky out. Into the evening hours, a cold front from the northwest will begin to move through Wisconsin. Ahead of this front, a line of showers and embedded thunderstorms will form and produce a 60% chance of thunderstorms. Some of these storms may be on the strong side with the main threats being wind gusts around 60 mph and some coin-sized hail. Because of this, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 1 out of 5 Marginal Risk of severe weather over Southeastern Wisconsin.

Monday: An active pattern continues through the extended forecast with a small break on Monday. Skies will be mostly sunny on Monday with high temperatures reaching the 70. Northwest winds around 10 mph will be around in the morning, but by the late afternoon winds will start to turn to the southwest. This happens ahead of a low-pressure system that will begin to approach Wisconsin on Tuesday. Overnight Monday temperatures will slide back into the high 50s for a low.

Extended: Tuesday will start out on a sunny note, but by the late afternoon clouds will increase because of the low approaching Wisconsin from the northwest. Before showers begin, southwestern winds will continue to be around 12 mph, and temperatures will be able to make it into the low 70s for a daytime high. By the late evening, a 70% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms will materialize and last into the early overnight hours. On Wednesday, the low-pressure trough will finally begin to move through Wisconsin. More showers and embedded thunderstorms will continue through the whole day.
