This year, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) launched its largest-ever election-safeguarding initiative to protect the right to vote and empower voters nationwide to participate fully.
The right to vote is facing a coordinated attack across the country—bills in Congress threatening to disenfranchise Americans, misinformation discouraging people from voting and federal agents intimidating communities at the polls.
Wisconsin has been identified as a state where the risk of election interference and voter disenfranchisement is particularly high; the ACLU is mobilizing to monitor election certification, train thousands of volunteers and empower voters to cast their ballots.
Now more than ever, every person needs the tools to vote freely. Every student can get involved, protect the vote, and make their voice heard at every level, including by joining the ACLU’s Democracy Defenders Task Force.
