The HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run for Healthy Birth Outcomes will be happening once again as part of Bronzeville Week 2026.
This year will be the 11th annual HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run, taking place during the 16th Annual Bronzeville Week, running from August 1-8. The HaRUNbee 5K kicks off the week of activities on Saturday, August 1.
“The HaRUNbee 5K Run/Walk is just a few weeks away, and there is still time to sign up as a runner, walker or a volunteer,” Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs said. “Together, we can all play a role in reducing negative health outcomes in our community, one step at a time.”
The HaRUNbee 5K was designed to raise awareness and to prevent unhealthy birth outcomes across the nation. It is organized by the National Coalition for Healthy Black Families (NCHBF) and promotes wellness by encouraging families to stay healthy and fit, both mentally and physically.
Those interested in participating in the event as a runner, walker, or volunteer can learn more and register here. Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to register at special rates and compete for a trophy.
Previously, UWM Post reported on Bronzeville Week asking for submissions from local artists of all ages and experience levels, both professional and amateur, to submit pieces for the 2026 Artwalk.
