Saturday:
Summer is hanging on for one more day. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s across the city, potentially flirting with record territory again. Winds will be from the south at 10-15 mph, occasionally gusting near 20 mph in the afternoon. It’ll feel warm and a little breezy, and more summer like than early October.

Saturday Night:
The warmth lingers into the evening, but skies will gradually turn partly cloudy as a weak front begins to approach from the northwest. Lows will stay unusually mild in the low to mid 60s, with winds shifting slightly to the southwest at 5-10 mph. Still dry and calm overall.

Sunday:
A mix of sun and clouds with more seasonable air sliding in behind that weak front. Highs top out around 78-80°F, still well above normal for early October. Winds turn west to northwest at 10-15 mph, giving the day a fresher, drier feel compared to Saturday.

Sunday Night:
Clear and cooler, a preview of the pattern shift ahead. Lows will dip back into the upper 50s to near 60, with a light northwest breeze around 5-10 mph.

Monday:
A cold front pushes in from the west, bringing the first real chance of showers and thunderstorms in over a week. Rain chances look best in the afternoon and evening (40-60%), with scattered thunderstorms possible along the front. Severe weather isn’t a big concern right now, but a few storms could bring brief downpours and gusty winds. Ahead of the front, highs still climb into the upper 70s to low 80s, with breezy southwest winds 15-20 mph making it feel muggy. Once the front slides through Monday night, winds shift to the northwest and much cooler air begins filtering in. Showers may linger into the evening before tapering off. Overnight lows fall into the low 50s inland and the mid 50s lakeside. it won’t be an all day washout, but bring the umbrella.

Tuesday:
Cooler air settles in behind Monday’s cold front. Highs will only reach the mid 60s (around 64-66F in Milwaukee), which is a solid 15-20° cooler than the weekend. Expect a mix of sun and clouds through the day, with a slight chance for a spotty shower in the afternoon as some leftover moisture lingers. Winds will stay northwest at 10-15 mph, adding a crisp edge that makes it feel even cooler, especially near the lake. By evening, skies gradually clear, setting us up for a chilly night. Lows dip into the upper 40s inland and the low 50s closer to the lake.

Wednesday:
High pressure regains control, bringing sunshine and cooler conditions. Highs will be closer to normal for October, in the upper 60s to around 70, with light northwest winds at 5-10 mph. A calm, crisp fall day to close out the forecast period.
