Today: Milwaukee kicks off the weekend welcoming sunshine and calmer conditions. Morning temps in the mid-30s give way to an afternoon high around 50°F, but cooler temps are expected near the lake. A light northeast breeze will bring cooler air off Lake Michigan, keeping the lakefront several degrees chillier than inland neighborhoods. Winds will be light at around 5-10 mph throughout the day.

Tonight: Skies stay mostly clear into the evening, and it will be a chilly night, dipping to around 34°F downtown, and cooler inland.

Tomorrow: Morning sunshine will slowly fade behind increasing clouds. It’ll be dry and seasonable overall, with highs near 48°F for most of the city. However, winds off the lake kicks in again, keeping lakeside areas closer to the upper 40s to 50°F. Winds will stay light from the southeast. Expect a quiet Saturday night with lows near 44°F and developing clouds, setting the stage for Sunday’s shift in pattern.

Sunday, April 13: Sunday starts off mostly cloudy and breezy. As winds turn southwest and increase to 10–20 mph, temps will surge inland — but again, lakeshore Milwaukee may stay around mid 50s. The city’s inland areas could briefly hit the mid-60s. Scattered light showers are possible in the afternoon and evening as a system approaches. Most of the rain will likely hold off until Sunday night.

Extended Forecast

Monday, April 14: Models still differ on when a cold front will arrive, which makes Monday’s forecast a bit trickier. If it moves through early, expect highs only around 48–50°F. If it arrives later, we may briefly warm into the lower 60s before cooler air crashes in. Either way, expect a gusty northwest wind 15-20 mph with some gusts up to 25 mph with cloud cover, and falling temps into the 30s by nightfall.

Tuesday, April 15: Chilly air returns to start the week. Even with breaks of sunshine, highs should reach the upper 40s downtown, with a brisk northwest breeze adding to the chill. Lows dip back into the low 30s Tuesday night. It’ll be a dry but colder day more typical of early March than mid-April, before a warming trend builds later in the week with winds around 10-20 mph
