Friday, August 15:
Friday starts out dry and calm, with a mix of sun and passing clouds as we sit on the warm side of a developing system to our northwest. Highs will reach the upper 70s to near 80°F with a light northwest breeze early, shifting southeast at 5-10 mph in the afternoon. By evening, attention turns to the north and west as storms begin firing across central and northern Wisconsin. While most of the day stays quiet here, there’s a small (20-30%) chance that some of that activity slides into the Milwaukee area late.

Friday Night:
Skies become mostly cloudy with a slight to chance-level risk of showers or a rumble of thunder after midnight, especially north and west of Milwaukee. If storms do sneak in, heavy downpours and gusty winds will be possible for a short time. Overnight lows will hold near 64°F with light southeast winds increasing slightly toward morning at 8-12 mph.

Saturday, August 16:
The weekend kicks off unsettled as a slow-moving front stalls nearby, acting like a train track for multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms. The first batch may linger into the morning, especially near and north of I-94, before a midday lull. By afternoon, the focus shifts closer to the Wisconsin Illinois border, where scattered redevelopment is possible. Any storm that forms will be capable of heavy downpours thanks to a moisture-rich atmosphere and a quick 1-2 inches of rain isn’t out of the question in spots, especially if storms repeatedly track over the same area. Highs will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s with humid air making it feel stickier, and south winds running 10-15 mph with occasional gusts near 20 mph.

Saturday Night:
Most showers and storms should wind down after sunset, but a few isolated cells could linger in far southeast Wisconsin into the late evening. Lows drop to the upper 60s, with winds turning light north-northeast at 5-10 mph, bringing in slightly less humid air toward morning. The Weather Prediction Center has placed the heart of Milwaukee in a marginal risk with the northern areas in a slight risk of excessive rainfall.

Sunday, August 17:
A pleasant bounce-back day. Clouds will gradually clear from north to south, giving way to more sunshine by afternoon. Expect highs in the upper 70s to near 80°F with lower dew points making it feel more comfortable again. Winds from the northeast at 5-10 mph will add to the fresh feel.

Monday, August 18:
High pressure to our east opens the door for a warmer, stickier setup. Highs will reach the low 80s under a mix of sun and clouds, with dew points creeping back into the mid to upper 60s. Winds shift southeast at 8-12 mph. Most of the day stays dry, but a stray pop-up shower or storm late in the afternoon or evening can’t be ruled out.

Tuesday, August 19:
Summer’s unsettled side returns. Highs will climb to the mid-80s with dew points near 70°F, making it feel humid and slightly heavy. Southerly winds pick up at 12-18 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Expect scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Not everyone gets rain, but the day will carry that storm season buzz in the air.
