Today: Due to a surface high pressure system over a majority of Wisconsin, Thursday sees the continuation of warm temps. The daily high will be in the mid 80s coupled with sunny skies and dew points in the 60s, feeling slightly uncomfortable. Winds will be calm in the morning before a light lake breeze of 5 mph and gusts at 10 mph arrives around 4 p.m. There’s a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon beginning around 3 p.m. before finally ending close to 9 p.m.
Tonight: As night falls, temperatures fall leading to an overnight low in the mid 60s and partly clear skies. The occasional rain shower and rumble of thunder is likely after 3 a.m., but will cease as we roll into Independence Day. Winds shift and will continue to be light out of the south at 5 mph, with gusts topping out at 10 mph at their strongest.

Tomorrow, Independence Day: Clear skies are in store for Independence Day, along with high temperatures in the low 90s inland and high 80s on the lakeshore. Winds will be south-southwest, with gusts hitting close to 20 mph. Friday night remains clear and warm, with an overnight low of 75 before warming back up again for the weekend.
Saturday, July 5th – Monday, July 7th: Hot temps are expected for Saturday, with highs in the low 90s and clear skies throughout Wisconsin, leading to a heat index of 95 degrees. Storms and scattered showers are expected Saturday night into Sunday, where they remain throughout the day, bringing with it a high in the upper 80s and a heat index in the low 90s. The heatwave finally breaks on Monday, with partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid 70s.
