Today: Milwaukee arises to a humid 75 with overcast skies, still dripping some rain here and there. Due to a 7 mph breeze from the damp southwest, the morning will see the high temperature of the day as we peak at 79 around 11 a.m. Then, a weak cold front lagging behind the storm system of Saturday passes through the urban area with some rain showers but also falling temperatures. In the afternoon, rainstorms are expected, with rumbles of thunder, whistling of winds up to 30 mph, and an isolated chance of the clack of hail. This climaxes between 3 and 4 p.m. until the front lazily exits Southeastern Wisconsin around 5 p.m.

Tonight: Precipitation chances remain high until the setting sun at dusk, when the clouds disappear for a mostly clear night except for some light fog around the lake. Temperatures will have decreased throughout the day, especially as rain departs, leaving us in the mid-60s going into the night, but a breezy lakefront cools us even further into the upper 50s for a low of 58.

Tomorrow: A gorgeous sunrise over Lake Michigan graces Milwaukee as we start starkly cooler than most days in the high 50s-low 60s with a breeze of 8 mph from the north with the odd gust of 12 mph. The warmth of the sunshine is diluted due to a fair weather high pressure system nearby causing an easterly wind of 6 mph giving the calm high of 70. Clouds gather a little bit as we head into the evening but disperse after another lovely sunset and leave us with only stars above our waking dreams. Lows reach the mid 60s during the night.

Tuesday 7/8: Another sunrise begins Tuesday like Monday but quickly becomes cloudy and remains as such for the majority of the day. Winds begin to turn out of the west, a bit breezier than Monday, as the high-pressure leaves, and a possible rain system follows through in the afternoon. Nothing more than a clap of thunder is expected, if at all, as most of the precipitation will have dissipated by the time it flows through Southeastern Wisconsin. Temperatures will stay below 80 as the warmer air from the south enters the area. This will be the case for the night as well, keeping the low within the upper 60s.

Wednesday & Thursday 7/9-10: Wednesday will start off with broken clouds as precipitation chances increase during the day and taper off towards the late afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the mid-70s and fall to the mid-60s within the day with average winds of 6 mph and gusts up to 13 mph. Scattered clouds will riddle the sky until the sunrise of Thursday when they congregate once again, bringing broken clouds most of the day. A drizzle of rain is possible here and there, but not as much of a chance as Wednesday is currently on this forecast. Temperatures are anticipated to rise back into the low-80s again with winds of 8 mph, up to 14 mph. Broken clouds and a low in the upper-60s finish up our Thursday.
