Wednesday (6/25/25): What a sweltering past couple of days throughout all of Wisconsin! However there is some relief in sight for your Wednesday. The day will start with overcast skies in the morning with rain showers approaching from the southwest. Isolated rain showers will over spread the Milwaukee area through late morning until early afternoon (about 3 p.m.) then there should be a break in the rain, however skies will remain mostly cloudy. High temperatures will top out in the mid 60’s courtesy of the rain showers, furthermore it should feel a little bit more comfortable out there with dew points dropping back in the mid 50’s. Winds blowing in from the northeast Wednesday morning should start out around 10 mph and decrease throughout the day becoming calm heading into the evening.
Wednesday Night: Overnight temperatures should bottom out in the upper 50’s to near 60 degrees with winds staying calm out of the northeast. Dew points look to rise a bit from the mid 50s to low 60s overnight. Rain and isolated strong thunderstorms will develop along a warm front parked to the south of Milwaukee. As these storms rumble east during the late evening and overnight hours, models show a weakening trend by the time they enter the Milwaukee area. With this in mind we cannot rule out a stronger storm with gusty winds being the main threat. Furthermore, in association with these weakening thunderstorms the Storm prediction Center has issued a level 1 out 5 risk on their severe weather for Milwaukee. After these storms move through, overcast skies will persist and winds will begin to turn more easterly as the night wears on.

Thursday: The forecast for Thursday is just a mirror of Wednesday. Although Temperatures and humidity will be back on a rising trend. As seen on Wednesday morning, thunderstorms due to a boundary line setting up just to the south of Milwaukee will kick off a couple of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the early a.m. hours which will end by mid morning (around 10 a.m.). After the showers move east, Milwaukee may see some sunshine throughout the rest of the day. This will allow high temperatures to drive into the mid 70s and dew point values will climb back into the upper sticky 60’s. Winds will remain calm and from the east throughout the day. As night falls, clouds will be on the increase again as a cold front associated with a low pressure system approaches from the west and brings another chance of potential strong thunderstorms to the area. Again, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 1 out 5 risk of severe weather for all of southern Wisconsin. Gusty winds look to be the main threat again. This is a very conditional risk because models show these thunderstorms weakening as they move east. Finally skies will remain overcast Thursday night with low temps dropping into the upper half of the 60s.

Friday-Sunday: A rising temperature and humidity weather pattern will continue for your weekend. By Friday our high temperatures will be back into the upper 80’s with Saturday and Sunday just being a little cooler with highs in the lower 80’s. Dew points will trend upwards this weekend with down right tropical 70s in play for Saturday. Winds Friday night will switch from the east to the west and remain calm. Skies through the whole weekend will be mostly sunny except if you get caught under an isolated shower during the evenings. Thunderstorm chances, although slim, will continue throughout the weekend. The highest chance of rain will be on Friday (40% chance), but there are also small chances on Saturday and Sunday (20% both days). Finally, be sure to stay hydrated if you have outside plans and take breaks in the shade when you can.
