Today: The remnants of a low-pressure system will finish affecting Milwaukee by mid morning (around 10 a.m.) and move off to the northeast. Moderate to light rain showers are expected, which will slowly move off to the east and over Lake Michigan. Wednesday morning will be cloudy with winds that will switch from the south to the north from the passing cold front. However, throughout the day skies will be clearing and the wind will become more easterly. Winds speeds should remain fairly calm anywhere from 5 to 10 mph. Cooler highs in the mid 60’s are on tap for the rest of Wednesday which should feature some filtered sunshine through smokey skies from Canadian wild fires. Finally, please be aware if you are a person who suffers from conditions such as asthma: The Wisconsin DNR has issued an air quality advisory until noon on Wednesday as dense wildfire smoke will be mixing down and could cause health complications.

Tonight: Wednesday night will feature mostly cloudy skies with that hazy hue due to the smoke. Low temperatures will bottom out in the low 50s with dry conditions. Winds will be very calm with speeds only around 5 mph from the east. The Air quality alert may be extended for the overnight hours of Wednesday.

Tomorrow: Thursday will be a great day to be outside! A high-pressure system will come off the Rockies and move into our area. This will keep our skies clear and highs in the mid 70s. Winds will be easing to about 5 mph out of the east. During the night, skies look to become partly cloudy with low temperatures in the mid 50s. Wind speeds will remain calm during the night, making a great opportunity to open up the windows for sleeping.

Friday-Sunday: Temperatures are going to stay pretty consistent through Saturday mainly in the mid 60s due to high-pressure system parked to the northeast of Wisconsin. The wind will also remain calm during this time period as well with speeds generally between 5 mph to 10mph. Finally, on Sunday there is a low-pressure system dropping out of Canada. This will spark some showers and thunderstorms, but there is low confidence on how far south the cold front will drop. Temperatures will jump back up into the low 70’s ahead of this low pressure system.
