Today:

Another cool and crisp May day unfolds across Milwaukee as high pressure continues to settle in from the northwest. Morning sunshine gives way to a deck of patchy, fair-weather cumulus clouds by afternoon, classic signs of May’s slow seasonal transition. While it’s dry all day, don’t expect much warmth: highs top out near 56°F downtown, closer to 60°F inland. Light northwest winds in the morning will turn northeast by afternoon at 5–10 mph, reinforcing the cooler lakeside chill.

Tonight:
Skies become mostly clear, and calm winds help radiate the day’s warmth away. Lows dip into the upper 30s in the suburbs and low 40s near the lake, making for a brisk night under the stars.

Saturday, May 24:

The holiday weekend begins on a quiet and cool note. Under partly sunny skies, a gentle northerly breeze around 5–10 mph keeps lakeside temps capped in the upper 50s, though areas west could sneak into the low 60s. Clouds build during the afternoon, but high pressure overhead keeps conditions dry. It’s a great day for a light jacket and a lakefront walk.

Saturday Night:
Another cool, calm night settles in. With mostly clear skies and light winds, expect lows to fall into the low 40s across much of Milwaukee County.

Sunday, May 25:

As high pressure nudges eastward, we start to feel just a touch more warmth. Skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day, and inland highs could reach 65°F, while lake-cooled areas stay near 58°F under a continued northeast breeze at 5–10 mph. No rain in sight, just a comfortable, classic spring day.

Sunday Night:
Winds relax as clouds increase slightly. Expect temperatures to settle in the mid 40s.

Sunday temps show around 58 as a high. Via Pivotal Weather.

Memorial Day (Monday, May 26):

The unofficial start of summer feels more like spring, but we’re heading in the right direction. Skies range from partly to mostly sunny, and temperatures take a small step up, with highs climbing to 66–68°F inland and around 60°F lakeside. Winds shift slightly from the east at 5–10 mph, continuing to moderate lakeshore temps. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful and dry holiday, ideal for outdoor gatherings or relaxing at Veterans Park or Bradford Beach though you’ll want a sweatshirt if you’re sticking close to the lake.

Monday Night:
Clouds begin to increase as a weak disturbance approaches. Lows stay milder, in the upper 40s to near 50°F.

Tuesday, May 27:

The next weather system slides in from the west, bringing increasing cloud cover and a 20–35% chance for rain during the afternoon and evening. Not a washout, but enough to keep umbrellas in reach. With the added clouds, highs level off around 65°F inland and closer to 58°F by the lake. Winds turn southeast at 5–15 mph ahead of the approaching system.

The chance for rain may continue into Tuesday night, but uncertainty remains regarding how widespread or steady it will be. For now, expect on-and-off light showers, with lows holding near 50°F.
