Today: Although a strong high pressure system is dominating Wisconsin’s weather pattern the Milwaukee area forecast on Wednesday however is going to be a little bit cooler than Tuesday. Wednesday morning temperatures will rise through the upper 60’s and by early afternoon temperatures should top out in the low 70’s for a high with partly cloudy skies. Winds will start out from the southeast with sustained speeds of 5-10 mph. Winds will continue to increase throughout the day but gusting no higher than 15 mph and turning more towards the east during the late afternoon and into the evening.

Tonight: Low temperatures should drop back into the low 60s overnight with broken cloudy cover. Wind speeds will decrease as well overnight with sustained winds between 5-10 mph out of the southeast.

Tomorrow: High pressure off to the northeast of the Milwaukee area will keep bright skies around most of Thursday. With skies clearing during the morning and mostly sunny skies taking over by afternoon temperatures will increase slightly from your Wednesday and end up in the low to mid 70’s. Winds Thursday will stay fairly constant throughout the day from the south-southeast with sustained winds around 5 mph. By the evening and into the overnight temperatures will begin to fall back into the low 60’s for an overnight temperature will mostly clear skies. Winds will turn to the southwest overnight Thursday, but remain calm. This will start our weekend warm up.

Extended: A strong high pressure system located in northern Quebec will be in control of Wisconsin’s weather for most of the weekend. With skies remaining mostly clear, above average high and low temperatures will be the norm. Highs will top out in the mid to high 80’s and low temperatures should settle in the mid 60s during the overnight hours of your weekend. Winds Friday will remain out of the southwest for the majority of the day with sustained speeds of 5-10mph. You might feel a little humidity in the air due to the southwest wind as well. Overnight Friday into Saturday winds will turn to more of a southerly direction and calm for a brief period. However, by sunrise Saturday morning winds will turn back to the southwest with sustained speeds of 5-10 mph once again. Saturday afternoon winds turn again to the south with speeds still 5-10 mph. Overnight Saturday winds will turn to the southeast for a short while before once again turning to the southwest by Sunday morning with increased speeds sustained around 10-15 mph for the majority of the day. A cold front connected to a low pressure system up in Canada looks to be our next weathermaker and move the aforementioned strong high pressure system farther off to our northeast, however, models are still inconclusive about when this front will slide through at the beginning of next week. Right now, it looks to be Sunday night into Monday morning, but might slide through later on Tuesday evening. This front will hopefully give Wisconsin normal fall like temperatures headed into the upcoming week.
